Parent Council
We are a team of parents who seek to serve, support and encourage the whole HOPE school community. We represent the voice of HOPE families to the Director and the Board.
We serve the school community by:
- supporting the partnership between HOPE and parents of students at the school,
- organizing school/social functions and fund raising events,
- expressing any concerns of parents to the Director and the Board,
- supporting the implementation of HOPE plans and policies, and
- taking an active role in helping to maintain, support, develop and promote the unique school cultures and traditions that contribute to making HOPE such a special school.
Our Parent Class Representatives help to welcome new families to HOPE School and to build community and strengthen friendships within a year group.
Minutes of our meetings are available to read in the main office. We always welcome new ideas, suggestions and especially offers of help! If you would like to help, have ideas for fun, social events or any general concerns or questions, please contact Cathy Macqueen.
Prayer Meetings
Main site: Prayer undergirds all that happens at HOPE School and a prayer meeting, open to all parents, is held in the Director's Office 8am-9am every Thursday.
ELC: Parents of ELC students are invited to join us to pray for our kids, teachers, and our school... every 1st and 3rd Thursday afternoons of the month... from 1:30 pm until we pick our kids up... in the napping/rest room downstairs in the ELC. Little brothers and sisters are welcome to join us in this air conditioned space. Please email Alice Collier for more or phone 012-660-932.
